![]() On the old Neox, the forward pressure was adjusted with a screw at the rear of the heel piece. If the original setting was 26.0, to move the bindings forward 20mm, you should see 28.0 on the toe track and 24.0 on the heel track. To maintain the right mondo setting the number (displayed in the little window on the centre screw plastic piece)on the toe track needs to increase, and the number for the heel track needs to decrease by the same amount.Įg. To move the bindings further forward than is limited by the window, you need to slide the track forward. This gives (if I remember correctly) about 10 or 20mm adjustment. The tracks are then slid to show the mondo boot size in the window. By rotating the small plastic piece 180 degrees, you can move the little windows in it backwards or forwards relative to ski. The tracks attached to the toe and heel pieces lock together, and is held in place by a central screw. The new style Neox look as if they adjust the same way. ![]() Even on piste skis, the binding is often set back from the best position because it is easier to skid old school turns like that. Not everyone wants to mess around with this, but the manufacturers binding placement on an all mountain ski is always a compromise. ![]() For hard snow conditions, moving the bindings forward can be a very good thing, especially for carving. ![]()
